This downtown gay club is located in an enormous old warehouse next door to its hetero sister club, Mekka. Literally the size of an airplane hangar, Discotekka is a wildcard in the Miami gay world, and an alternative to the more touristy and stereotypical South Beach boy bars. Discotekka stays open all night, through the morning, into the afternoon, and all the way into the next night. The three-room space features seating areas; bottle specials; dancing trannies; theme-night parties; and pop, house, reggaeton, and hip-hop music. The cover is rarely under $10. It's also less of a tourist draw than the SoBe clubs, which, if you're looking for more than a one-night stand, is a very good thing.
