Cheese is a universal language that is spoken by many cultures. Though the varieties of cheeses across the globe vary like dialects, one fact knows no borders: Cheese is awesome. The makers of Italian cheeses are perhaps more aware of this fact than any other curdled-milk artisans. For proof, head to the cheese counter at DiGregorio. This corner grocery on the Hill offers up plenty of wedges of familiar choices like Parmesan and Romano, as well as lesser-known options such as the soft taleggio and robiola bosina, and the harder and more grater-friendly grana padano. While the smallish specialty shop limits its focus to Italian goods, you won't have trouble finding something delicious.
