Though its downtown location has closed, that hasn't stopped Dierdorf & Hart's from keeping up with its reputation as an upscale steak house. Starters include salads that can be topped with a variety of housemade dressings, but steak rules at Dierdorf & Hart's, with options such as a boneless strip steak - available in either 12-, 18- or 24-ounce portions - or, for the serious carnivore, a 30-ounce porterhouse. Dierdorf & Hart's also offers seafood, including lobster tail and salmon. Even vegetarians can get dolled up and enjoy the Dierdorf & Hart's experience - a vegetarian lasagna joins the other entree choices. For frugal diners who want the most bang for their buck, Dierdorf & Hart's also features a three-course prix-fixe menu.

Hostess couldn't answer any questions, such as when we called to change reservation time from 7:30 to 6:30; which exit to take to restaurant; driving directions to the restaurant. She began to sit us at a table in the middle where people entering had to walk by, so I asked to be sit at the table right by this middle of the room table as the requested table was by the wall. She told me she couldn't, but eventually asked the manager and we got the table. Mind you, no tables around us had dinners by the time we left. She didn't know if there were any specials...she was very incompetent. Then our waiter forgot to order my side dish, scalloped potatoes, so it came out late and was terrible, runny like soup and tasteless. He ordered the wrong steak for my husbnad, so by the time my husband got his steak all other dinners were completely finished. The steaks were okay, but no way were they worth the price. I've had better steaks at Chilis. For $30-$47 a plate, you do not get a salad or bread. We were served a crack water glass. Bottom line, I would not recommend this restaurant.
