Description

Westword's Description

A sports bar where local teams and the occasional Hawkeye game (both owners hail from Iowa) dominate the TV screens, Pub on Pearl sits like an oasis between the I-25 corridor and Wash Park. Despite being butted up against the highway, the bar has a pleasant wrap-around patio where both people and dogs are welcome, and additional seating can be found on the south side of the building, where traffic noise goes virtually unnoticed. Inside the corner location, a large wooden bar is set into exposed brick, facing a room with huge windows and plenty of high-top table seating all around. Weekends are host to beer pong and flip cup tournaments in the back room, and Pub on Pearl offers up sandwiches, burgers and the usual bar appetizers starting at 12 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays (4 p.m. on weekdays.) The crowd and staff are mostly a younger set, but there is definitely no imposed age range here: Everyone is welcome, and cruiser bikes can be found parked next to scooters outside the neighborhood spot.

5 dollar all you can eat wings!!! I feel like a typical fat American, but it was awesome!

  • Anthony H. on 08/02/11

Be prepared for mediocre service and great specials. Interesting combo!

  • Jordan J. on 10/03/13

Great all you can eat wings for $5 on Thursdays!

  • Lindsey S. on 04/21/13

I wish I were a little bit taller (I wish I were a baller) cuz the bar stools are short so the bar is at my chest.
