Description

Westword's Description

"Root down" is a jazz term, and at his new restaurant, chef/owner Justin Cucci riffs on all things green. He even recycled an old gas station as part of the ambitious project, which resulted in one of the coolest spaces in town, filled with retro chic inside -- and with a stunning view of the Denver skyline outside. The kitchen emphasizes locally sourced ingredients, and Cucci's even growing some of his own in Root Down's two gardens. While the food is uneven, the bar is unbeatable.

GREAT dishes and cocktails whether you are going for happy hour, dinner, or brunch. I've tried all three and have never been disappointed! Brunch I HIGHLY reccommend the egg romesco sandwhich and the bannana bread french toast... and OF COURSE the all you can drink blood orange mimosa! Sit on the patio, with a view of downtown!

Went with almost 20 girlfriends here for my birthday and they were amazing! The service was great, everything was perfect. The food is unreal and now they have raw food Tuesdays. Whoop.

Chef Daniel Asher hosts a monthly raw dinner, if you really love vegetables. Drinks are super awesome too. Don't you dare miss those. [Eater 38 Member]
