Westword's Description

Marlowe's was once one of the only dining options downtown. Decades later, it's still a good choice. This dimly lit saloon located in a historic building across the mall from the shiny Denver Pavilions has several distinct personalities. During the day, it hosts tables of business lunchers making deals over California-influenced salads and sandwiches. In the evening, those same professionals fill the spot for happy hour and often stay for dinners of steak, seafood and California cabernet; gradually, that crowd gives way to late-night drinkers and convention attendees enjoying the 10 p.m.-until-close happy hour. In the summer, the patio along the mall is always packed; in the winter, groups cozy up in the inside booths.

Thre bean burger is incredible!!!! Best I've ever had! I skipped the cheese, thought it would take away from the flavor. I was right!

The best $5 you will ever spend is here on the crispy eggplant roulade appetizer. For one person it is an entree! Ask for extra marinara!

The bartenders are great, and you must go to happy hour M-F 3-7 p.m. for recession friendly drink and food specials!
