Description

Westword's Description

Leela European Cafe is as panoptic as the European continent itself, with lofty ceilings and a wall of windows facing the street. Open 24 hours a day and serving a full menu -- with free wi-fi, a large stage and a dance floor -- Leela wants to be everything to everyone. That’s why you’ll see one patron sipping espresso and studying for a trig midterm on a couch in the back while another talks loudly, sipping a glass of vino at the bar in the front. With both a diner and a lounge, Leela is a popular hangout for people of all ages -- but particularly the college-student crowds, who take advantage of the steady stream of caffeine and studying amenities, and high-school kids, who want to stay out all night and learn to assimilate into the adult culture. There’s always entertainment, from musician showcases to poetry slams. Needless to say, it’s also one of the best places in Denver to people-watch.

Go to Leela's and order a hot Chai Tea. Delish.

Cool hangout during the day - great coffee and food. Turns into a bit of a hipster-shitshow after dark...
