Back in 2006, Thomas Salamunovich started a little stand-alone restaurant designed to feature the burger that, through experimentation and long practice, he'd come up with at the Larkspur Restaurant in Vail and had proved wildly popular at that fancy-pants place. In his words, it was "my vision for the perfect burger experience." And Larkburger comes very close indeed, serving up very good cheeseburgers, as well as even better milkshakes (24 ounces for five bucks, and worth every penny). The setup is fast-casual, with a green emphasis spelled out in a mission statement you can read while waiting.
Tips from foursquare
Danthaniel must be a fucking wackjob. Wake up and smell the most delicious thing on a bun. Maybe if you're name wasn't so stupid you'd realize that this place is the shit....
The Little Lark is perfect when you're craving a not-too-much meal.
A Colorado original. Modern. Clean. I appreciate that everything is fresh here. They also won Judges' Choice at the Denver Burger Battle. Kickass!
Turkey Burger is great if you'd like something lighter but don't skimp on the secret sauce!
They have gluten free buns! Celiacs rejoice!
