Description

Westword's Description

This Denver restaurant has grown with Denver, since its days in a little bungalow in the early '70s to its current incarnation, a landmark spot overlooking the city, known for its good green chile (the recipe of the late Savina Mendoza, the matriarch of one of the founding families) and enormous margaritas. Although a few items -- shrimp fajitas, for example -- have been added to the board since La Loma was founded, most of the menu has been virtually unchanged since 1973, and so serves up a real culinary history.

A great place for lunch and happy hour. The place is nuts when there's a Bronco game. Always great margaritas.

There's a reason their parking lot is always full -- La Loma is awesome. Don't be deterred by the number of cars; they have tons of seating and the service is great.
