Curious Theatre Company

Map & Directions 1080 Acoma St.
Denver, CO 80204

Westword's Description

Over the past two decades, Chip Walton and his Curious Theatre Company crew have put on some of Denver’s most provocative, award-winning productions. The company’s headquarters, a nineteenth-century church in the Golden Triangle, is ground zero for the area’s most compelling, provocative theater.

Merchant's Description

Housed in a beautiful renovated 19th century church, Curious Theatre Company works to engage the community in important contemporary issues through provocative modern theatre. In addition to the 5-6 shows we produce each season, programs like Curious New Voices (for playwrights ages 15-21) and Curious Cultural Initiative (presenting free discussions, musical performances and community-inclusive play readings) keep our old building very, very busy.

"The Sanctuary" is our lush bar in the light of the building's original stained glass. And Mamie's- our back reception/rehearsal area, so named for Mamie Eisenhower who attended church here- is frequent host to special backstage events.
