By the time Black Shirt Brewing opened behind a bright-red door in the RiNo neighborhood, owners Branden, Chad and Carissa Miller had poured their soul into every detail of the place, from the bar and tables, which are made from refurbished train-car floors, to the slanted Offero glasses that accentuate the aromas and flavor of hops and malt, to the beer itself â red ales, and red ales only. But that painstaking attention to the small things shows when neighbors, out-of-towners and local chefs and foodies show up to quaff a wide variety of red brews. The âsetlist,â as Black Shirt calls its beer menu, is always changing, but the commitment to doing things right stays the same.
Black Shirt Brewing Co is a progressive, artisanal brewery located in the RiNo Art District in Denver, CO. The brewery was founded by brothers Chad and Branden Miller and Chad's wife Carissa. Our focus is on creating unique, assertive, vibrant, complex, and ultimately perfectly-balanced beer. We do everything by hand, in small batches. No gimmicks. No bull shit.
