Description

I spy something massive, angular, reflective, and decidedly Libeskind. The newest addition to the Denver Art Museum – the Frederick C. Hamilton building, designed by architect Daniel Libeskind – is a marvel of modern architecture that was built to withstand enormous volumes of adoring fans, if not enormous volumes of snow (Rumor has it that it used to leak. Whoops.) The building actually holds art, too, most of it modern and much of it as visually interesting as its titanium-paneled abode. The old decidedly less-shiny DAM –- now called the North Building -- is connected to the new building and is home to many of the museum's remarkable collections of art from around the world. All in all, it's a must-see -- and it's so massive, angular, and reflective, you can't help it.

Price: Free for members and kids 5 and under. Colorado residents: $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors, $3 for youth (6-18). Non-residents: $13, $10, and $5, respectively
