Situated on the Downtown Square in the building that was formerly The Hydrant, Denton Square Donuts leads a double life. The quaint, two-story building serves as a gluten-free, vegan-friendly doughnut shop by day, and as a haven for local musicians by night. Each Tuesday the creaky floorboards in the upstairs loft hosts “Tunes and Tales,” a gathering of several local acts whose performances range from jazz to acoustic. Monday mornings the shop starts the week off right with live bluegrass bands. Although the joint is BYOB, Denton Square Donuts is currently working to acquire its beer and wine license, and is open until 11 p.m. almost every night.
