When Dylan Moore (Deluxe, Delite) joined forces with the owners of Mod Livin' to put a burger spot in a corner space by that hip store, they wanted to bring back the spirit of a '50s-era joint -- bring back the spirit, but definitely update the flavor. The result is Deluxe Burger, which has a cool, casual atmosphere -- and truly deluxe burgers, big, fat patties that you can top with a variety of fresh, innovative toppings, then side with incredible fries and unbelievable shakes. Since it opened in February 2010, Deluxe Burger has gotten even more deluxe, adding some of the menu items that have proved so popular when peddled by the Little Orange Rocket, the gourmet food truck that shares a kitchen with Deluxe Burger, as well as owners. So now you can enjoy that burger with a bowl of vegetarian curry, or maybe some mac-and-cheese balls, or a roasted chile Caesar.
