This rollicking matchbox of a Barbadian restaurant is located adjacent to a bus stop, and a sign out front offers quick snacks like conkies and pone. We dashed in the other day to sample some of the more substantial fare, including a cutter, a small sandwich heaped with fried flying-fish fillets. Even better was chicken curry, a flock of small tender pieces served on a bed of vegetable-dotted rice, sided with coleslaw or fried plantain. The tastiest dish, however, is macaroni pie, a version of mac and cheese made yellower by the addition of scotch bonnet hot sauce.
