Situated deep in Houston's East End, the D&W Lounge is a true dive bar safely tucked away from any sort of hustle or bustle. Open daily until 2 a.m., the eclectically decorated bar features a jukebox loaded with country, Tejano, classic rock and soul, and a staff that takes the time to wrap the frosty, cheap longnecks. On any given night, a crew of neighborhood regulars - the kind of folks who call you "young feller" and offer a solid 15-second handshake - will invariably be posted up on the oversized stools at the bar. D&W hosts live bands on Fridays, and we hear Saturday's karaoke night can get a bit rowdy.
