Dallas Observer's Description
Sure, there’s a juice bar and raw food on the menu, but Vspot isn’t your crunchy hippy-momma vegetarian restaurant. Modern decor gives this Henderson Avenue restaurant a decidedly mainstream feel, as good for a special occasion as a quick healthy dinner. Raw dishes like cheesecake and enchiladas will likely only excite those with the strictest of dietary dogmas, but other dishes will please even devoted carnivores. Gnocchi and other pasta dishes are filling plates, and any vegetable that Chef Toria Villarreal tosses in the deep frier emerges crisp and golden brown. Try the fried portobello mushrooms on their own or as a compelling taco filling, or the lotus onion with a spicy dipper. Want a bead on Dallas’ best guacamole? It’s made by a chef that has no choice but to make vegetables delicious.
