Dallas Observer's Description

West Village regulars might have a difficult time adjusting to Union Bear, a bar and restaurant located in the Uptown basement space formerly occupied by the sleek ultra-lounge Nikita. The atmosphere at Union Bear is warm, with candlelight and wire deer head sculptures hanging on raw wooden walls. You can get a good pizza, but a better reason to go to Union Bear is for one of the best beer menus in town – the entirety of which is offered on tap for $5. Among the selection are rotator taps that feature small-batch beers, brewed in-house by local homebrewers.

Sink your teeth into the flatbread with maple-cured pork belly, Bosque bleu cheese, asparagus, TX honey & black pepper. Also, take advantage of UB's 40 craft taps.

The rib sliders are killer/awesome/wicked good.

All drafts are $5. Laid back atmosphere is a nice change of pace for west village.
