The Red Door
Dallas, TX 75226
Dallas Observer's Description
When City Tavern owner Josh Florence purchased the historic Club Dada, there were some uncertainties about the fate of the property's tiny adjacent room. For a while it acted as a green room for bands performing on the Dada stage. But Florence and company thought it was simply too good to be left untouched, so they decided to open up the Red Door, a hole-in-the-wall dive bar designed to keep Dada's patrons happy on slow nights or during ticketed rock shows. The tiny corner stage and exposed brick walls give the place a comfortably run-down urban feel-synonymous with the rest of Deep Ellum. And Club Dada's old booth seats have been reappropriated for the smaller dive.
