Description

Dallas Observer's Description

One of newer bars brought to life during Greenville Avenue's cleanup process is the Matador, a rock 'n' roll bar with a taste of Spain. It's easily distinguished from its Greenville neighbors by a large mural of a toreador who appears to sweep customers inside. The renovated inside is decorated with Spanish art, but the bar has guest art exhibitions from time to time as well. The booths and seats are upholstered in red and black leather for that rock 'n' roll touch.

Rocking a bullfight theme, the new bar's grand opening falls on March 12. Expect punk, post-punk & eventually a kitchen featuring the talents of Chef Jorge Salvidar.

They age their own tequila, invent liqueurs and make bravas sauce from scratch! Say hi to Chris the bartender :-)

Stopped by 2 days in a row and the doors are locked. No one is answering messages either. :(
