Description

Dallas Observer's Description

Tucked in a little shopping strip off Preston Road, The Hideaway displays vintage posters of John Wayne and Marilyn Monroe who appear to be watching over a bar stocked with neighborhood regulars. A rectangular island bar sits on a platform surrounded by tons of tables, TVs and Golden Tee machines where the bartender really does know everyone's name. It's a good place to post up and pass some time during the week, with a menu more suited for a decent restaurant than a little dive. A daily happy hour from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. accompanies grub specials like fajita Wednesdays and rib-eye Saturdays.

This used to be Al's Hideaway, but it's under new ownership. Both Jen & Brittnay are back and awesome. Go to them for the best service

Strong drinks, and good food! Nice little neighborhood bar.

The Original Burgundy and Gold Washington Fan Club of Dallas is the official name of the Redskin fans who plan to meet every week of the season here.

  • Magicc J. on 01/13/14

Lots of good drink specials and laid back atmosphere

  • Ree Ree on 12/02/13

My favorite place to come and check up on my north side crew.
