The Crown & Harp

Map & Directions 1914 Greenville Ave.
Dallas, TX 75206

Dallas Observer's Description

If you've ever wondered about the difference between an Irish Pub and an English Pub, The Crown and Harp will set you straight. The new addition to Lower Greenville's bustling nightlife scene quickly moved in when The Cavern shut its doors late in 2010. According to Cole Hayden, the bar's new manager, the upstairs is an English Pub, and the downstairs is an Irish Pub -- both complete with a new coat of paint, wood paneling, a new beer and scotch-heavy drink menu, and a menu of traditional Irish/English pub-grub, which will be prepared in the kitchen of neighboring restaurant Daddy Jack's.

The Crown and Harp is small, badly lit and feels dirty. It seems to attract a crowd of a certain characteristics that create an uncomfortable atmosphere.

Way more dancing space since the renovation from The Cavern name. Better beer selection and djs on Friday nights. Love the gross make out couches are gone.
