The Brick & Joe's
Dallas, TX 75219
Dallas Observer's Description
Taking up most of the space in a small strip mall on Wycliff Avenue is the Brick & Joe's towering exterior, its large sign bathing the parking lot in a neon red glow. Although the LGBT-friendly bar relocated from Maple Avenue in 2009, the new building has seen no problem ushering in old regulars and new faces alike. A large bar serves as a centerpiece for a spacious dance floor, complete with two dancing poles and a gigantic disco ball. People of all types enjoy the club's loud and upbeat atmosphere, as male bartenders serve up drinks in nothing but tiny red boxer-briefs. Male dancers wear the same garb to dance on poles, and sometimes collect dollar bills in the process. Karaoke Tuesdays are a staple at The Brick & Joe's, although the extravagant drag shows are the real reason to get dolled up.
