Dallas Observer's Description

This historic theater -- best known as the place where Lee Harvey Oswald was apprehended after assassinating JFK -- was revived in a major way in 2010 and is now known as the place to catch obscure indie and horror flicks, silent movies and 35-mm versions of newer flicks. The authentically retro lobby bar offers a full menu of drinks and an old vinyl soundtrack and plays host to various events from art shows to burlesque.

Great history and even better movies you can't see anywhere else!

  • Since a group of young filmmakers took over the theater in 2010, this historic theater has become a popular place to see classic and independent movies. Plus there's that Lee Harvey Oswald thing.

Great to have this theatre open again. Showing great films, full bar & vinyl in the lobby. What more do you need?
