Dallas Observer's Description
This taco shop housed in a large, mission-style building held down by a gargantuan satellite dish never seems open. Venture inside, though, and you'll be treated to traditional Mexican and Tex-Mex comestibles cheaper than dirt, among them a lunch special of three soft-shelled tacos (meat of your choice, like barbacoa and carne asada) with rice, refried beans, bean soup and a drink. Almost as foreboding as the building is the pig-snout taco. Those valiant enough to trek to Peditros on weekends will be treated to live music. Just be sure to bring along your English-Spanish dictionary or a bilingual dining companion; most of the staff speak only Spanish. Whatever the language, it's hard to be confused by authentic, copious platters and options.
Tips from foursquare
Try the carnita tacos
Local acts coupled with Dallas' quaint little taqueria serving authentic Mexican tacos is what makes this restaurant venue an ideal choice for a show off the beaten track.
