Dallas Observer's Description

Considered among the best of Dallas' taco shacks, El Si Hay (pronounced L See Ay and translating to something akin to "Yes, we have it") is situated across the street from another Oak Cliff landmark, Bolsa. However, the latter establishment can't compete with the dedicated masses of El Si Hay fans. The lines are more often than not long, the wait longer, but the payoff, all agree, is worth it. El Si Hay can do no wrong in the eyes of its longtime customers. Don't arrive expecting to eat on the property, unless you want to dine in your car or on a parking lot behind the establishment.

Tips from foursquare

Eating elotes, or maybe some barbacoa or lengua tacos is only half the fun. Standing in line may be the most delicious possible look at Dallas' cultural diversity. [Eater 38 Member]

Be sure to order 20 to piss off everybody in line

Best tacos period. Fajita or pastor tacos are a must. Pour that green sauce and lemon. My mouth waters as I write this.

Best tacos in Dallas. To the side of the building, there's a guy with a cart selling "elotas" - if you haven't tried it it's simply steaming hot corn kernels, butter, cream and hot sauce in a styrofo
