Description

Dallas Observer's Description

Owner Derek Zara, head sushi chef Chikao Kikuchi and manager Kannikar Sawaddipap continue to retain the most dedicated regulars any restaurant could want. When they moved from the original location, at which Kikuchi worked for 23 years, the mob of customers moved with them, all vying for a spot at the bar at the restaurant's center. Under the guidance of the chef, patrons are wowed with fresh catches of the traditional standards. That means wasabi is only included on request, as it would be in Japan. At the tables, tempura is standard. Okra and onion are among the happily fried selections. And don't forget to order some sake. You won't drink alone.

Jalepeno roll is pretty amazing and unique. It's a reason we come here. The mushroom roll is superb as well.

If cheesecake tempura is on the specials - get it! Wow.

Best spicy tuna rolls in the world!

If you love spicy, you will love the Devil Roll! Spicy tuna and hot mustard! It will light you up!

  • RP on 10/31/12

Order the "Rachel" -- it's a Robb roll without the cream cheese.
