Description

Dallas Observer's Description

From babganouj to yerba mate, since October 2002 Shine's has been offering customers gourmet Mediterranean and Latin American specialties while giving them the chance to nosh on falafel, empanadas and perhaps some shawarma. The dining menu is extensive, to say the least. Appetizers are as varied as the chorizo sandwich made with the restaurant's signature chimichurri sauce and grape leaves stuffed with rice, onions, pine nuts and currants. The main plates, like the lamb shish kabob, all come with pita, even the Argentine-style short ribs.

Tips from foursquare

  • Bill H. on 07/19/11

The gyro lunch special is priced low at $6.95 for gyro, chips & canned drink but beef or chicken not lamb. Nothing to write home abt. Try Fadi's around the corner

  • Jack A. on 04/26/11

Lunch special - Gyro Sandwich, Chips and drink for $6.99.
