Description

Dallas Observer's Description

Park Tavern brings the gastropub experience to Park Lane, serving craft brews and bar food in a massive second-floor dining room. A patio provides for outdoor imbibing when the weather permits. Inside, the bar top, tables and other areas sprawl with enough seating for the largest party you could ever possibly conjure. Don’t think the menu is limited to burgers and chicken wings, though there are plenty of both if you’re feeling the need for meat and cheese. Park Tavern also offers more inspired plates, from octopus a la plancha, to lamb and more. Don’t eat too much. You gotta keep that party going if you’re going to hang out here. Late night at Park Tavern gets even more interesting, when you can ditch your bar stool for a spot on the dance floor.

Park Tavern had a rockin' bar scene and felt much less pretentious and hipster than the usual Dallas spots - only a handful of people were wearing glasses ironically, and I didn't see a single fedora. Their large outdoor patio area seemed rather popular, despite the scorching heat and unbearable humidity. I opted for the indoor bar instead.

    I ordered a half-rack of Baby Back... More >>

Half-price sandwiches all day on Wednesdays! $2 taco Tuesdays! Great specials here- great atmosphere!

  • Flip C. on 08/13/12

The local beers on tap here are legit! Try anything from Deep Ellum Brewery, they are all amazing.

  • Penny K. on 10/10/12

Most popular menu items: deviled eggs, cornbread chicken salad, PT bacon burger, and the gooey butter cake!

Forrest is awesome... and hello hotties!

  • Pablo L. on 08/06/12

Excellent beers on tap selection. Some of the best available short of going to a bar in uptown. Get the bacon jam, it's delicious!
