Dallas Observer's Description
New West Tejano Club has been open for 16 years, but unless you're a regular you might not have noticed the enormous club, since it's tucked behind an auto shop and a strip mall. Like Baby O's, it's open only two days a week, with a DJ on Friday and Tejano band on Saturday. Except for language, Tejano clubs are not much different from country bars: Customers wear Stetson hats and jeans, beer is usually the drink of choice and pickup trucks fill the parking lot. New West is typical -- just much bigger, with four bars, a pool room and a good sized dance floor in the middle.
