Description

Dallas Observer's Description

Keith Schlabs and Shannon Wynne, the team behind the Flying Saucer craft-beer chain, have upped their suds game. In 2010, they opened this gastropub with 40 rotating drafts, two cask ales and more than 85 bottles, all of which can be expertly paired with chef Chad Kelley's high-end pub grub. The restaurant is also the sight of frequent beer dinners, for which craft-beer brewmasters are brought in to showcase that beer and food can be matched like wine and food, often with surprising results. Meddlesome Moth is a beer connoisseur's mecca. However, it's not a solemn temple to beer, stained-glass windows notwithstanding. Rich Brazilian wood walls, a pewter-top bar and an earth-tone palette give it a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Because when you drink beer, you want to kick back, not sip in a stuffy setting.

Meddlesome Moth isn't really a place you would think to look for barbecue, but as a gastropub, they have a lot of really interesting food offerings on the menu...including ribs! My wife and I don't get out as much as we'd like to, so today was a great opportunity for a random dinner date.

The menu at Meddlesome Moth is pretty much set up tapas style, so we ordered several... More >>

This is a bar that hordes their best beers in the back for employees and special occasions that one must be invited to. I highly recommend going to the Common Table which is only a couple miles from the Moth. Their beer selection is just as good, but they actually let you purchase their rare-find beers. One more thing, one of the mangers at the Moth (Tim) is quick to jump on... More >>

The Meddlesome Moth features rare craft beers and delicately curated gastro-pub fare in a cheeky, cathedral-like spot in the burgeoning Design District. [Eater 38 Member]

Use the restroom. Love the hand driers. Thanks Dyson.

Their burger is my Best Burger in Dallas, and their zucchini chips are thin and salty with a great Ranch dressing to dip. Add the zucchini as a side to your burger, and you've got a fabulous meal!

The Moth's slinging 10-12 classic cocktails like the Vesper, the Sazerac, and the Dark & Stormy, all of which will fill the void of your confidence.

The Beer is the best, a must try!
