Description

Dallas Observer's Description

Basic, classic breakfast dishes aren't difficult to come by at the relocated Greenville Avenue landmark. In business for more than 33 years, John's knows how to break an egg or two. Plus, syrup isn't even required for pancakes or the powdered-sugary, cinnamon-y French toast-yeah, they're that good. John's also handles the lunch crowd with standard sandwiches such as BLT, grilled cheese and roast beef, plate lunch dailies and a few Greek noshes that nod to owner John Spyropolous' heritage. John's is a no-frills joint, but when you're starving, there's nothing wrong with a super-short wait and a simple presentation.

The people are really nice and they have a great selection. They serve breakfast all day. I wish they were open for dinner!

They cook their food with a lot of love and little grease. Two words: COMBO OMELETTE. This place is better than Mecca!

  • Mark J. on 04/29/12

The oatmeal is exceptional!! The pancakes are great and John will put Mickey Mouse ears on them if you ask :-)
