Dallas Observer's Description

Since reopening in 2009 with a party headlined by hometown favorites the Old 97's, the Dallas branch of this 168-venue homage to the rock pantheon has been dropping the hits in Victory Park. Peter Morton, co-founder of the original Hard Rock Café, which opened in 1971 in London, England, is responsible for establishing the one in Dallas. Aside from the sensational rock sensibility (and memorabilia) that permeates the air like the reverb from a Marshall, fans and tourists alike munch on a typical American and Texas fare. The entrées are heavy on the protein such as the 12-ounce New York Strip and grilled shrimp fajitas. Of course, what is America's signature sound without the signature American sandwich, the burger? The menu is long on burger options, and the Legendary 10 oz. Burger is the house specialty.
