Description

Dallas Observer's Description

Since the Summer of Love, Gene Dunston and his sister Judy Dunston Kissel have made this the second home of the mesquite-broiled steak. The place is still in the family and still treating customers like family. Those in the know enter through the backdoor and have de-facto tables where they dine on prime cuts of beef and daily specials, like the quail dinner or fried oysters. Those not in the know can still get a good mesquite flavored steak.

1970 crapped this place out. It's awesome.

Love the salad bar and Dunstons reminds me of time with nana

  • Harry on 08/18/10

The steakhouse that time forgot! Act like a regular and sit in the Back Room. Try the 10-ounce ribeye, the best utility-grade steak in town. The salmon is great too.

  • Robert D. on 01/13/11

Dirt is younger than most of the people in here

  • Will on 07/11/10

Fun old school steakhouse atmosphere. Friendly staff.
