Dallas Observer's Description
Since the original Snider Plaza location was opened in 1951, Burger House cooks have been flipping patties and serving the addictive seasoned-salt fries, dubbed "Jack's Famous Fries," to the masses, who keep clamoring for more of the institution's grub. The same salt is sprinkled on the golden, fat onion rings. In 2007, the Dallas Observer voted the Burger House home of the best burger in Big D. The burgers come in myriad varieties, including three-tiered with mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions. No mayo. No ketchup. Burger House even has a national reputation. Celebrities, such as actress Angie Harmon, across the country have gone on record with praise for the food here. So word to the wise: disparage Burger House at your own peril.
