Description

Dallas Observer's Description

There are steakhouses for celebrating business deals, steakhouses for wooing lovers and steakhouses where the only imperative is to enjoy a good plate of quality red meat. Bob's Steak and Chop Shop falls in the latter category. While parties flock to this popular Oak Lawn restaurant, there are few better local spots for a single eater to sidle up to the bar, drink a strong martini and eat beef. The flavorful steaks all come with a massive peeled-and-parsley-ed carrot, but the potato's left to the diner's discretion. Go with the home fries submerged in peppercorn gravy, a sufficient excuse for starting with a mere half-portion of the brawny blue cheese salad.

If you want to go have a real steak in a real steak house, Bob’s is where you need to be. It’s a Dallas staple and known world-wide. –Levi, The A-List: Dallas

    Try the onion rings.

  • Matt P. on 11/13/10

Chopped tomato, onion & mozz salad is unreal.

  • Josh L. on 09/22/13

Skillet potatoes are amazing as a side. Fantastic steak, best I have ever had. And the carrot, well everything is bigger in Texas right?

  • Michael M. on 09/07/13

If they offer the bacon wrapped shrimp special, get it. UNREAL
