Anton Cafe Greek Cuisine - CLOSED
Dallas, TX 75202
Dallas Observer's Description
It's not about the décor here, which basically consists of dozens of miniature Greek flags. It's about the gyro, thinly sliced meat cut from a vertical spit then rolled in pita. It's the house specialty, and by far the most popular dish. Customers who want a little "Opa!" in their gyro can request the spicy version. Of course, there's more to the menu than the prototypical Hellenic sandwich. Also on offer are hamburgers, fish dishes and large sampler dishes that won't set you back more than $10. Anton's is within walking distance of many hotels and offices, so it's no wonder this eatery is popular with local suits and business travelers. It helps that food is ready practically before you pay the bill at the counter. And Anton won't let you dawdle either.
