This spiffy new southern Chinese lunch counter turns out incredible congee. Our favorite is the heavily gingered "congee with sliced beef." The beef is crumbled rather than sliced, but who cares? Daky also functions as a dumpling stall: The chive-and-shrimp variety are perfect in every way. Also don't miss dried squid with pan-fried egg noodles. Open 6:30 a.m. weekdays-it's perfect for that after-jog breakfast.
