Description
Located two blocks South of Market but appearing more like a Mission dive with its red walls and gaudy light fixtures, DaDa S.F. bills itself as an art gallery and bar. A massive assemblage sculpture of Icarus' mythological descent hangs on one wall, gothic metal sculptures spy from high corners, and modern Cubist paintings span the longest wall, keeping DaDa S.F. true to its claim. But the crowd here isn't art-scene chic: you're more likely to find the cooler of the corporate bunch looking to slug as many Mai Tais or pomegranate Mojitos as the happy hour will allow. And a generous happy hour it is, pouring heavy from 4-9 p.m. and serving $6 cocktails in pint glasses.
