The D Note celebrated its tenth anniversary and a change of ownership in 2012, but this live-music venue and full-service restaurant and bar in Olde Town Arvada is still a favorite local hangout and a tourist attraction for out-of-town visitors. Originally envisioned as a performance space/art gallery, it was expanded to include hot eats and became a hub for local musicians and music enthusiasts. The menu items have some famous names, like the Sinatra salad, the Zappa sandwich and the Penny Lane pasta, and since live-music patrons get hungry too, D Note’s signature pizzas are another edible tribute, with names like Me & Bobby McGee, The Pizza Formerly Known as Prince, and Particle Man. The Hall and Oats dessert plate would make a nice ending to any meal, accompanied by some fine tunes in the D Note's laid-back atmosphere.

good food- tenacious D is the best music is good most days
Live music and good food and drinks in old town arvada. the owners are very nice.
Always some great music going at the D-Note, no matter what style you like, especially if it's jazz.
The D Note is many things to many people. Its space is full of art and live music, its newsletters full of poetry, and its menu full of pizzas tagged with musical references, both obscure and not so. Are you a fan of They Might Be Giants? Check out the Particle Man, a combination of pepperoni, black olives, spinach, red peppers and mushrooms over a smear of basil pesto. The Pixies more your speed? Then go for the Debaser, a sausage, portabella and artichoke pie smothered with Italian cheese.... More »
Get past the naming conventions (every specialty pie here is named after a song, a band, a musician, whatever), get past the open-mike nights and the D Note's double life as a live-music venue. Get past the location -- smack in the middle of cutesy Olde Town Arvada -- and the overt half-vegetarianism of the place. Just get here for some of the best pizza in town, courtesy of ex-Mercury Cafe cook Amy Wroblewski. The pies are big, piled impossibly high with well-sourced and earth-friendly... More »
The D Note's menu isn't entirely vegetarian, but the parts that are -- better than half of the offerings, with many of them completely vegan -- are so good that you'll barely notice the lack of pepperoni and hot Italian sausage. And if you do, there's always the other half of the menu on which to slake your carnivorous bloodthirst. Chef Amy Wroblewski and the DeGraff brothers, who own the D Note, have assembled a wild board of custom pizzas with carefully sourced, high-quality ingredients... More »
