Description

Over the course of nearly two decades, the Curtain Club has become a Deep Ellum institution. With possibly the best and loudest club stage in town, the Curtain Club has managed to stay in business almost exclusively with local shows. The stage, which takes up nearly a third of the room, is covered with state-of-the-art lights and speakers, making even terrible bands look and sound like rock heroes. It's rare when a national touring band graces the stage, but when one does, it's surrounded by Dallas rock 'n' roll history. The Curtain Club is also a gallery of sorts, displaying on its balcony walls paintings, by area artist Cabe Booth, of local rock bands past and present. It's hard to leave the place without a deeper appreciation for our local scene, and a set of ringing ears.
