By any other name -- say Coral Sky, MARS, Sound Advice, the Snuggles Fabric Softener Bear Arena -- this gigantic outdoor shed now called the Cruzan Amphitheatre would still sound as sweet. However, unlike the big, open-air venues up north, ours is available year-round. Music seems to sound better out-of-doors, and Cruzan provides plenty of room to mill about on a giant manicured hillside lawn, plus massive video screens so concertgoers won't miss anything. Among the acts that have played there: Peter Gabriel, Motley Crue, Radiohead, and Pearl Jam. Who can beat that? But nevertheless still a great show, fun times and I got to meet The Sounds. So that totally over ruled the being far from the stage.
