Six months in the making, this former auto warehouse, landmarked by the giant guitar-player mural on the building's south side, is home to one of the biggest stages in the city and some of the best sound quality. Its calendar tends to be filled by local tribute bands with big dreams, and there's likely to be at least a $5 cover (except on ladies' night). Heavily staffed and sparsely decorated, Crosstown Station is easily accessible and definitely not pretentious - fashion statements tend to be fauxhawks and chain wallets. To go along with the fairly cheap beer, there's also cheap pizza.
Friday night, FLEX, is open upstairs. They always have great performers, good drinks, and fun people.
fabulous
This joint is a blast. Great venue, bartenders are good and they have a good beer selection. Gotta love having another music venue in KC!
