In Snider Plaza, you can slum it or go haughty. At Crème de la Cookie, you get cute while going highfalutin. Founder Toni Rivard opened this sweets shop in summer 2009. Since then, the boutique has received rave reviews at home and nationally, especially for the OMG Chocolate Chip Cookies. It's now among the top sellers. As is the red velvet "Scarlet O'Hara" cupcake. Rivard and staff are on the forefront of popular confections. The shop makes sure that the sweet-tooth hordes have enough cake balls (e.g., chocolate-covered vanilla and cookies and cream) and high-end takes on humble childhood favorites such as the whoopie pies with marshmallow buttercream and Screamin O's (fudge brownie towers covered in chocolate ganache). It also offers a small selection of gluten-free treats, making sure to leave no dessert lover out in the cold.
When our sweet tooth takes over and we're craving something more than an ordinary, run-of-the-mill dessert, the first place we think of is Crème De La Cookie. The Snider Plaza treat boutique bakes up irresistible cookies, cake balls, cupcakes, bars and brownies, as well as signature offerings like the whoopie pies with marshmallow butter cream (a gourmet take on a Moon Pie) or fudge brownie towers drenched in chocolate ganache known as Screamin Os. Yes, of course, stop by Creme de La Cookie for the decadent OMG cookies, the "Private Reserve" cookie and the assortment of cupcakes. But while you're there, don't pass up novelties such as the cakeballs, the Nutella brownies, whoopie pies and, best of all, the screamin' O's. This little, single-bite goodie is a crazy concoction of chocolate flavors, including fudgy brownie, creamy ganache and jimmies with just a hint of coffee. Stimulating and relaxing at the same time, this tiny treat... More »
When you walk in you feel like you're in a cookie store. Like, "Ooo, Mommy. May I have the oatmeal?" This place is saturated with a brown/teal decor. Modernized, etc. A plasma tv playing the food network... but I'm sure the owners won't give away the recipe to their delectable Oatmeal Cookies. The nice young ladies let me sample one. As I bit into it I noticed, I think macadamia nuts, raisins, and of course the warm dough! You gotta get to this place... had an array of cookies, brownies, cupcakes (w/ fresh strawberries on top). Wow. They also offer coffee shop drinks... coffee, and some other stuff I didn't pay attention to on the menu. Get here. On the business card it says Addiction Hotline (877) 322-6654. It's a real #; call this place and order your next gift here!
