Dude! Any old-timers going to Western back in the late '70s remember feeding their munchies at the late, great Uncle Aldo's in downtown Bellingham. This pizza legend now lives on in Ballard, where the owner was Luke Skywalker to Uncle Aldo's Yoda. Those important lessons passed from one kitchen to this new generation of dough tossers: Don't overload a pie with toppings. Diners should be reminded of the Italian flag when eating their pie: red sauce, white mozzarella and green herbs. And serve slices. That's old-school East Coast, by way of B'ham. Not much of a dining room, which is fine since most customers phone in their orders. Ask about pick up specials if you do call.
