Where the cheap meet to eat elite treats. Well, maybe we're not cheap, exactly, but we're thrifty. We know that we can walk into Cossetta with a date on our arm and a pair of sawbucks in our pockets, get slices of pizza enlivened by spicy sauce, salads full of oil-cured olives and zingy Roquefort, submarine sandwiches or veal parmigiana, glasses of wine, and rich, creamy cannoli. We can sup at our leisure in the cozy rafters of the upstairs--and walk out with change. Sweet!

  • Take the Cannoli

By Dara Moskowitz Grumdahl | Wed, April 12, 2006

Dear Dara, I have yet to find decent cannoli in the Twin Cities area. Believe it or not, I live in the hinterlands—Bismarck, North Dakota—but I'd drive the 420 miles in my gas-hog Dodge Durango if I could get my grubby hands on some decent Italian... More >

Love the pizza. The rest of the food is great too. I am asked to ship their meatball mix to family near Madison

This is the best new york style giant slice pizza in town. Great taste with lots of flavor. For a cheap price.

They have the best pizza in St. Paul, but never go to the deli before the restuarant opens, or all the cooks talk about you in another language.

Cossetta's is great to buy takeout lasagna to serve at home - it's just as good reheated, and you get to spend more time with friends and family.
