The classic Greek diner in the city is seemingly an endangered species, and Cosmos is one of its most perfect evocations. Whether you choose the classic American dishes (meat loaf, hamburger, fried chicken), Greek (stuffed grape leaves, spinach pie, souvlaki platter), Italian (chicken parm, shrimp scampi, spaghetti with clam sauce), crazy fusion (roast beef on a pita, chili with rice pilaf, "Texas special" sandwich), or--their specialty--budget seafood (scallops, stuffed flounder, blue fish with butter sauce), you'll have a fine meal. The corner premises is perhaps too brightly lit, but the staff is an nice as can be, and Cosmo himself is often there snoozing at the register.
