CLOSED Twenty or so delicious, savory small plates (and a number of exquisite desserts) are on offer in this chic, soigné restaurant in a downtown boutique hotel, convenient to the theater.
Though we've tried almost every mixture on Cortez's lengthy cocktail list, it's hard to pick a favorite at this bustling Union Square nightspot. The small plates served here aren't tapas, but exquisitely prepared appetizers and entrees just a touch on the small side (and at somewhat lower prices than you'd expect in a place of such ambition).
