Here's a hidden find in a beautiful setting that more should know of -- the Cornell Caf is inside the Japanese Morikami Museum. The caf is on a level overlooking the water gardens, rocks and plants artfully displayed along the paths. Food is Asian, with a variety of influences, but mainly Japanese, and all is value-priced. Choose from appetizers or combine for small plates of pork gyoza, crab cakes, bang-bang shrimp, sweet potato tempura, or chilled tofu. A full array of beautifully displayed sushi rolls -- grouper, cucumber, salmon, shrimp, spicy tuna, and dragon are a few -- are available by the piece or in combo plates. A bento box or a number of entres, including ginger-roasted duck, almond grouper, mahi with mango chutney, salmon teriyaki, and curry chicken, are on the menu. Japanese beer, plum wine, and sake are served, and there's a selection of desserts, including ice creams, to finish the meal. Note that admission to the gardens is required to get into the caf; take advantage of this and stroll the serene gardens after your meal.
