Though many of the restaurants and bars along this well-known strip of Highland eateries have morphed and/or relocated during uncertain times, the Coral Room has remained steadfast in its ability to do the job - and do it well. A modern dining room backs up to an attractive bar spanning the width of the restaurant, and while you don't get much more than a parking-lot view when the patio's busy, the plush benches are entirely too comfortable and the people-watching (especially during the weekend brunches) is always entertaining. The wine list is approachable and complements the New Asian-inspired menu. Late nights on Thursday through Saturday, the tables are pushed aside and DJs take over, spinning everything from hip-hop to dance music.
Suspicions confirmed: It seems like whatever neighborhood you venture out to in Denver on the weekend, the nightlife is on and poppin'. This past weekend, we sent our intrepid roving photographer Ch... More »

Two words: Bottomless mimosas. This place is dangeroozily good!
I recently went to the coral room for brunch and was pleasantly surprised by the unique and delicious menu items & love the bottomless mimosas. Try the Devil's french toast that has shaved dark chocolate right in the custard batter then sprinkled with crispy bacon on top. And to my surprise the pork & grits were my favorite! Check it out!
The biggest difference between the original Coral Room in the Highland neighborhood and this new, improved model at Stapleton is how it accommodates that one indispensable accessory of the 21st-century nuclear unit: children. Kids can be the fine-dining kiss of death, so it makes sense that a restaurant designed expressly for upwardly mobile thirty-something families would include space for pint-sized patrons. At the Coral Room, it's an entire room -- almost a third of the total real estate... More »
The Coral Room is firmly rooted in Asian-urban minimalism -- but it goes over the top with its coconut tempura banana. This dessert is an absolutely deadly fusion of Japanese, Indonesian, French and Caribbean flavors that's so good we had to order a second, just to make sure that our first banana wasn't some kind of freakish mistake. It wasn't. The kitchen takes a banana, dips it in sweetened coconut tempura batter, deep-fries it and then serves it with coconut gelato in a smear of chocolate... More »
